Mr. William D. Forbes

ATTLEBORO – William D. Forbes, 95, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2015 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was the husband of the late Virginia Forbes.

William was born on September 28, 1919, in Attleboro, MA.

He was a former employee of the Brockton-Taunton Gas Co. now BayState Gas for over 32 years.
William was an avid supporter of youth sports and a longtime member of the Attleboro Varsity Club. He was also a member of the Locust Valley Country Club in Attleboro and an avid golfer.

William truly enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his two sons, Gary Forbes and his wife Noriko of East Falmouth and Marc Forbes and his wife Elaine of Attleboro; five grandchildren, Lauren Timmons of Attleboro, Timothy Forbes of Barrington, RI, Adam Forbes of South Attleboro, MA, and Chris and Tanya Corriveau of San Diego, CA; two great grandchildren, Mackenna and Emma Timmons of Attleboro; two brothers, Cameron Forbes of North Attleboro and Harold Forbes of FL.

William was the father of the late Ronald Forbes.

Visitation has been respectfully omitted.

Relatives are friends are invited to a attend a celebration of life service on Thursday, May 14, 2015 from 6 -8 p.m. at the Highland Country Club, 104 Mechanic St, Attleboro.

A private burial will take place at a later date.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, Attleboro, MA.
