Valerie Spitaleri

Valerie Ann (Mitchell) Spitaleri, 69, of North Attleboro, MA passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI. She was the wife of Paul D. Spitaleri, Jr.

Born August 23, 1955, in Attleboro, MA she was the daughter of the late Robert and Caroline A. (Girard) Mitchell.

Valerie worked for several years in the North Attleboro area, as a baker at the Great American Cookie Co., as a manager for the Sweet Factory candy store, a retail manager at Macy's and at the Stop & Shop grocery store.

She enjoyed taking care of her dogs and cats, camping, cooking, going to concerts, gardening, jigsaw puzzles and fishing. Valerie truly loved spending time with her friends.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sister, Marcia and her husband Mike Posey, her cousins, Steven Girard of Rhode Island and Kevin Newton of Arizona; her brother-in-law William and his wife Roseann Myers of Hudson, NH and close friend, Jayne Mitchell of Pawtucket, RI.

Valerie was predeceased by her cousin Paul Girard and his wife Rita, friends, Mark Butterworth and Diane Sturdivant and her grandmother, Amy Girard.

Family would like to thank Hope Hospice staff for making her final days as comfortable as possible.

Funeral services for Valerie will be held privately.
