Therese M. Shay of Attleboro, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 70 years of age. Beloved wife of Anthony A. Shay of 40 years. Daughter of the late Theresa I. (Archambault) and James F. Hughes, Sr. Loving mother of Jennifer Hartery and her husband Daniel of Middletown, RI. Cherished grandmother of Jake and Joel Hartery. Adored sister of Carol Grainy of S. Carolina; Susan Oliveira of Seekonk; Dennis Hughes of Maine and Patricia Clement also of Maine. Aunt of Stacy Gendreau of Swansea; David Hughes of Scituate; Christine Hughes of Woonsocket, RI; Diane Hayden of Norton; Wayne Armstrong of Cumberland, MA and Sherry Hughes of Portland, ME.

Therese was born in Attleboro and attended Attleboro High School. She worked at Dodgeville Mill for 11 years, at Bruce Diamond Co. for 16 years and retired as a caregiver after 10 years of service. She enjoyed making greeting cards and scrapbooking.
