Sandra Costa

COSTA – Sandra Rita, 82, of Attleboro, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022 surrounded by her loving family at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence, RI.

Born on July 8, 1940 in Attleboro, MA she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Leontina (Perry) Dias.

Sandra grew up in Attleboro and attended Attleboro High School. She was employed at Mantrose-Haeuser Co. for over 30 years before her well deserved retirement.

Sandra loved going to horse races, dog races and trying her luck at the casinos. She was an avid Red Sox fan and treasured time reminiscing about her childhood in Bristol, telling stories about her Portuguese heritage and cooking Portuguese food.

Sandra is survived by her four children, Monica Angevine of North Attleboro, Bert Costa and his wife Karen of Somerset, Antonio Costa of Attleboro and Marcia Tellini and her husband John of Pawtucket, RI; her daughter-in-law, Marybeth Daugherty-Costa of Taunton; her beloved grandchildren, Colleen, Aubrey, Bridget and Emerson Daugherty-Costa, Nikole and Chelsee Angevine, Crystal Costa, Hannah and Zachary Davis and Grace Amelia Tellini and her great grandchildren, Jude and Lawrence Nye.

Sandra was predeceased by her son John Costa and her late companion of 45 years, Earl Marchand.

The family would like to thank HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center for taking such great care of Sandra in her last days.

Visitation and funeral services will be held privately.
