Mr. Ronald L. Cleary

ATTLEBORO – Ronald L. Cleary, 80, of Attleboro passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at the Wingate at Norton. He was the husband of the late Patricia E. (Pope) Cleary.

Born on January 10, 1938 in Worcester, MA he was a son of the late James F. and Florence (Miller) Cleary.

Ronald worked as a projectionist for various movie theaters in Massachusetts and owned his own movie theater in Canton, MA in the mid 1960’s. He enjoyed gardening, birdwatching and beekeeping when he was younger.

Ronald is survived by his daughters, Kathleen Marie Cleary and Carol Ann Cleary both of Attleboro, Elizabeth Grace (Cleary) Smith and her husband Gary Daniel Smith of Seekonk; his daughter-in-law, Patricia Ann (Gerber) Cleary of Attleboro; a grandson, Eric Daniel Smith of Seekonk and many sisters, brothers and nieces and nephews.

Ronald is the father of the late Ronald P. Cleary.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2019 in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street Attleboro. A funeral home service will be held immediately following the visitation at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery, Canton, MA.
