Roger Dyer

Roger M. Dyer of Plainville, age 84, passed away suddenly on June 7, 2024. Roger was the beloved husband of 61 years of Doris (Dot) Dyer of Plainville. He was the loving father of William and his wife Beverly Dyer of Dudley, Kenneth and his wife Louise Dyer of Maine, and Scott and his wife Janine Dyer of Plymouth. Roger was also a beloved grandfather and great-grandfather. Son of the late Kenneth and Elizabeth Dyer. He served in the United States Army and the United States Army Reserve.

Roger was a longtime resident of Attleboro until his move to Sunset Acres Mobile Home Park in Plainville several years ago. At Sunset Acres he had many kind neighbors who provided friendship and support to him and Dot. Roger was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed his time fishing, hunting, hiking and camping. As a father to his boys growing up, he was an energetic Boy Scout leader who passed on his enthusiasm for these activities to many young scouts. He could spend countless hours in his beloved canoe. Roger enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 118 South Main Street, Attleboro, MA 02703. Burial at North Purchase Cemetery will take place at a later date.
