Robert Viens

VIENS – Robert H., 77, of Attleboro, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022 at the All America Assisted Living in Wrentham. He was the loving husband of Mary (McLear) Viens of Attleboro for 52 years.

Born on November 10, 1945 in Central Falls, RI, he was a son of the late Harold and Nora (Wild) Viens.

Robert was a graduate of Tolman High School Class of 1963. In 1965, he proudly enlisted in the United States Army during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge in 1967.

Robert was employed as a mechanical designer at Texas Instruments for over 52 years. He enjoyed skiing, sailing and disassembling things to see how they worked.

In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by his three sons, Brian Viens of Norton, Steven Viens and his wife Michelle of White Plains, NY and Kira Van of Providence, RI; his grandson, Jacob Viens; his siblings, Vivian Sullivan of Windsor Locks, CT, Bruce Viens and his wife Betty of North Providence, RI; also, many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Iris Fuller.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation from 2 – 4 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
