Attleboro, Massachusetts
Olivia Grace Knighton, age 11, went home to God on Wednesday July 19th, 2023 in Little River, SC.
Olivia was born in Greensboro, North Carolina on November 3, 2011. She spent the first two years of her life living in beautiful Vancouver, BC watching her dad play soccer for the Vancouver Whitecaps FC. In 2014, she and her family moved to Attleboro, MA when her dad was traded to the New England Revolution. Olivia and her family spent their summers at “summer camp” in Greensboro, NC and North Myrtle Beach, SC with her Gigi and Grampie, Aunt BB, Uncle Jeff and cousins Luke and Nora. She loved this time of year and made sure to embrace every second of time spent with her family.
Attleboro was home to Olivia and she formed everlasting friendships with her neighbors both young and old! She was always finding ways to be out and interacting with her friends and neighbors. Whether it was riding bikes, watering plants, or organizing a refrigerator, Olivia just loved her people and they loved her. Olivia was a student at Robert J Coelho Middle School where she was loved by her wonderful teachers and peers. She loved art class and was always finding ways to be creative outside of school, making bracelets, cards, and pictures for her friends and family. Olivia had a gift for writing beautiful poetry and even had a selection of her poems published.
Writing about all of the things Olivia loved would mean writing forever, because Olivia just loved life. She savored every moment and showed it through her gorgeous smile that lit up any room she was in. She enjoyed celebrations of every kind, especially Christmas, always finding ways to decorate and throw a party! She was a huge soccer fan, her favorite team being her dad’s team the New England Revolution, as well as Liverpool FC. Being at Gillette Stadium watching games was one of Liv’s favorite things to do. Her love for her dad and the sport shined through her excitement while watching his games. She was always so incredibly proud of her dad and his dedication and passion for the sport. She played Attleboro Metrowest basketball, and she also played soccer for the Attleboro Pride, and previously with Attleboro Valkyries. She adored her coaches and teammates.
Olivia is preceded in death by her grandfather, Burton Wayne Knighton and her Great Grandfather Edward Morton Eldridge. She is survived by her parents, Brad and Britney Knighton, and brothers Owen and Brooks Knighton; Grandparents, Ed and Carol Eldridge, and Bonnie Knighton; Great Grandparents, Robert and Pauline Mikalonis, Anna Eldridge, Eugene and Martha Knighton, Sally Berry and Bill Davis (Tammi). As well as her Aunt Becca Clayton (Jeff), cousins Luke and Nora Clayton, and Uncle, Tyler Knighton.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, July 31st from 2-7 pm at Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro, MA.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you take a moment to think of Olivia. Feel her light, joy, and generosity and let that guide you to show kindness in your own way. Donate to a charity or organization that is meaningful to you, give someone a hug, smile at a stranger, leave someone a note of encouragement, look for ways to pay it forward every single day. Do it for angel Olivia and her beautiful light.
