Nicholas Fischbach Jr.

FISCHBACH – Nicholas Jr., 94, of Attleboro, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 5, 2022 at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. He was the loving husband to the late Marion (Jacques) Fischbach. Nicholas is survived by his daughter, Donna Gouveia and her husband Francis of Brewster; his son, Brian Fischbach and his wife Denise of Attleboro; his two grandsons, Matthew Gouveia and his wife Kelly of Hooksett, NH and Brian Fischbach Jr. and his wife Samantha of So. Attleboro; his granddaughter, Katie Fischbach of Westerly, RI; his great-grandson, Maxwell Gouveia of Hooksett, NH; siblings, Roland Fischbach and his wife Claire of Rehoboth and Lorraine Gurn and her husband Howard of Flower Mound, TX.

In addition to his wife, Nicholas was predeceased by his parents, Nicholas and Ellen Fischbach and two siblings, Joseph Fischbach and Catherine McArdle.

Nicholas was born on May 30, 1928 in Attleboro, MA and was a graduate of Attleboro High School. He enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country in the Korean War achieving the rank of Sergeant before his honorable discharge. Nicholas was employed as a jewelry polisher for the Rappaport Company and for Balfour. He also worked for the Brochu Sign Co. from many years.

Nicholas was a jack-of-all-trades, building his own home and helping family and friends with roofing, pouring concrete driveways and helping where needed. He also enjoyed woodworking and working on automobiles. Nicholas especially treasured spending time with his children and grandchildren.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center for the compassionate care given to Nicholas.

Private funeral services will be held.
