Maureen Virginia Miconi-Ross,77, of North Attleborough, passed away after a long illness on February 12, 2026.
Maureen was a talented artist and graduate from Rhode Island School of Design with her work exhibited, including a North Attleborough town bicentennial mural with two other artists, commissioned by the Arts Council. Maureen was an art teacher and enjoyed a corporate stint in sales, but was proudest of her life as an educator, teaching young family members, and as an “auntie” to students and youth groups all over the world.
She will be remembered for her sense of style, creativity, planning skills, and outspoken attitude. She remained fiercely loyal to her family and large circle of friends. She was proud of her Italian heritage, end enjoyed many trips to Italy to visit relatives. Her Catholic faith was strong and she volunteered at National Shrine of Our Lady La Salette, and donated her religious collections to the Church.
Maureen leaves behind her devoted husband, Geoffrey Ross of North Attleboro; her son John Kierstead and his wife Beth of North Attleboro; grandson Ian Kierstead of Halifax, and granddaughter Kimberly Hurd of Halifax; step-grandchildren, Donald and Kimberly; sister Cheryl Darwell-Bolton of West End, NC, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her brother, Joseph Miconi Jr, and her dear parents, Joseph Miconi Sr. and Lena (Geromini) Miconi.
