Mrs. Mary E. Rocha

ATTLEBORO – Mary E. Rocha, 96, of Chestnut Street, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013 in Sturdy Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Rocha.

Born in Fall River, MA on Feb. 5, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Joseph J. and Mary (Bothelho) Raposa.

Mary was educated in the Fall River and Attleboro school systems. She was a homemaker and was a resident of Attleboro for over 84 years. Mary was a longtime communicate of St. Vincent DePaul Church, Attleboro.

She is survived by a son, Ronald Rocha and his wife Eduarda of Attleboro; two daughters, Joanne M. and her husband Emil Brodeur of Barnstable and Barbara and her husband Robert Martin of CO; a daughter-in-law, Linda Rocha of Attleboro; a brother Augustine Raposa; three sisters, Irene Ryder, Lou Paille and Marion Davis; six grandchildren, Stephen, Gail, Christine, Ian, Tristan and Ryan; eleven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She is the mother of the late George J. Rocha; brother of the late Edward, the late Antone, the late Oliver, the late Manuel, the late Joseph and the late John; sister of the late Seraphine Raposa and grandmother of the late Scott Brodeur.
