Marguerite Byrnes

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Marguerite V. Byrnes. She entered into eternal rest on January 26, 2025.

Marguerite was born in Brooklyn on April 10, 1926. She is the daughter of John and Mary (Larkin) McSheffrey. Loving Mother of Thomas (Lynne), John (Aurelie), Michael (Jeanne), Kevin (Donna), Stephen (Mary) and the late Edward Byrnes. The wife of the late Thomas P. Byrnes. Cherished grandmother of 14, and great grandmother of 8.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life for Marguerite on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Edmunds's R.C. Church, 1902 Avenue T, Brooklyn, NY 11229. A Committal Service will take place at the Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn and Tilden Avenue, Brooklyn, NY

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May Marguerite’s soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the Mercy of God, Rest in Peace. Amen.
