Mr. Louis A. Santillo Jr.

–

Attleboro, Massachusetts

Louis A Santillo Jr., 75, of North Providence passed away peacefully on July 23, 2019, at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Care Center.

Born on May 23, 1944, in Providence, Louie was the son of Louis A & Diane (Ceroni) Santillo.

He grew up in the Lymansville section of North Providence where he attended Lymansville School and North Providence High School. He went on to join the army where he was stationed in Germany. It is here that Louie met his first wife Renate. He then served in Vietnam during the war before being honorably discharged as a Purple Heart recipient.

Until his illness, Louie was very active in The Move Program at the VA Hospital where he exercised daily. It is there that he formed many friendships and enjoyed weekly breakfasts with the "gym rats". He was also a lifetime member of the Wallum Lake Rod and Gun Club. Louie enjoyed visiting friends at Boot’s Shack and the New Deal Club. You would know he was there even before going inside, his deep voice carried for miles.

He leaves behind his daughter Heide and her husband Dan Brunette of North Providence and his son Anthony Santillo and his wife Karolyn of Loma, CO. He was the proud papa of Ally and Ariana Petrosinelli both of North Providence and Chelsea Cooper of North Kingston. He also leaves behind his favorite pup Precious.

He was the father of the late Lawrence J. Santillo and brother of the late Dolores Antonelli. He was the husband of Jane Santillo.
His family would like to thank Ashley his home hospice nurse, all his doctors/ nurses at the VA Hospital in Providence, and all the staff at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center 3rd floor; they are all angels. Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers please make donations in Louie' s memory to RI MS Society directly at https://www.nationalmssociety.org/Donate or to the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center directly at https://www.hopehealthco.org/ways-to-give/donatenow/
