Lorraine Margaret Lacour

–

Las Vegas, Nevada

Lorraine M. I. (Pelletier) LaCour , a longtime resident of Las Vegas, NV, passed away at the age of 100, on Saturday September 12th, 2026, after a brief illness.

Lorraine was born in Attleboro, MA, and was the daughter of Albert and Rose (Poissant) Pelletier. She was educated in Attleboro and attended business school. After finishing her education, Lorraine worked as a bank secretary in Attleboro.

Lorraine met L. Robert “Bob” LaCour II and in 1961 they married. When Bob became Vice President of the Showboat Hotel Corporation, they moved to Las Vegas, NV where they made their home. Lorraine continued her work as a bank secretary until her retirement.

Lorraine had a wide circle of friends, and nothing gave her more pleasure than spending time with others. She enjoyed playing golf with the gals, attending events in her retirement community, keeping up with current events, and playing Words with Friends on her iPad. Lorraine was very outgoing and was always up for having a good time.

Lorraine was incredibly blessed to have the friendship, care, and support of her late best friend Jane Publow’s family. From family parties, to birthday celebrations, to afternoons out to grab a bite to eat, Lorraine was always included. Lorraine was an honorary auntie to Jane’s family and was incredibly loved. Jane’s daughter, Tish, was exceptionally kind to Lorraine and provided so much comfort to her during her final days.

She is survived by her niece and nephews and their spouses: Marc Pelletier and his wife Sharon of North Attleboro, MA; Lisa Murphy and her husband Brian of Holden, MA; and Joel Pelletier of Surprise, Arizona; Her Las Vegas family: Tish Carroll and the extended Publow family.

She was pre-deceased by her husband Bob LaCour II and her brother Donald J. Pelletier.
Lorraine’s family would like to thank the staff at Las Ventanas at Summerlin for the care that was shown to Lorraine especially during her final weeks. She really enjoyed her time living in a retirement community.

Lorraines’s funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am Tuesday, September 22nd at St. John the Evangelist Church, 1 Saint John Place in Attleboro. Burial Private.
