Kevin Walsh

–

Attleboro, Massachusetts

Kevin P. Walsh, (KPW) 71, of Attleboro, MA passed away peacefully on May 20 at the Life Care Center of Attleboro.

A life-long resident of Attleboro, Kevin was born January 5, 1954, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. Kevin was the fifth child of the late Robert and Barbara Walsh and a proud member of the Walsh Gang living at 10 Cote Street. Kevin attended Attleboro Public Schools and graduated from Attleboro High School.
After graduating from AHS, Kevin earnestly began his career as a talented craftsman and tradesman which evolved into his own company, KPW Insulation and Vinyl Siding. A company known for its quality work at a fair price.

Kevin was recognized for his commitment to community-wide projects like the Attleboro Fireworks Fund and was applauded for his single-handed efforts in delivering truckloads of clothing, toys and non-perishable food to displaced citizens of Rockaway Beach, NY. after Super Storm Sandy.

Kevin was an avid sports fan who collected sports memorabilia, was a longtime Patriots season ticket holder, driving to two Patriot Super Bowls and attended the Masters.

Above all he cherished his parents, his siblings and his extended family of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He displayed uncommon devotion to family traditions and family legacy. Three traditions stand out; one, was the countless home improvement projects he constructed for his siblings and families. Two, was his love for Hampton Beach vacations and preparing Sunday Brunch for the family. Yet, at the top of the list is a decades long tradition of providing coveted Walsh Gang tee shirts for the entire family at the now world-famous Walsh Family Christmas Party.

He is survived by his six beloved siblings, Michael Walsh and wife Jean of Narragansett, RI, Maureen Houghton of Attleboro, MA, Neil Walsh and companion Anne Alves of Cape Coral, FL, Brian Walsh and wife Sharon of Westbrook, ME, Patrice Braza and husband Bob of Attleboro and Dennis Walsh and wife Nancyann of Attleboro. Sister-In-Law Linda Debaggis Walsh (Tom). Additionally, Kevin was a dedicated and much-loved uncle to 26 nieces and nephews.

Kevin was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Barbara Walsh, brothers Tom, Steve and Jeffrey Walsh along with in-laws Brian Houghton, Mary Flaherty Walsh and nieces Tara Houghton, Baby Girl Walsh and nephew Joe Walsh.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Friday, May 30, from 4 to 7 pm in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro. A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.

A graveside service will take place on Saturday, May 31st 9:30 a.m. at St. John's Cemetery, West Street, Attleboro, where Kevin will be laid to rest with his parents and brother Jeffrey.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Fireworks Fund, City Hall, 77 Park Street, Attleboro, MA 02703. A special thanks to the dedicated staff at Life Care Center of Attleboro as well as to Doctors Natasha Rybac and Sam Evans.
