Kevin Thomas Gallagher, 63, passed away on September 12, 2026 following a sudden illness, leaving behind a loving family and many friends who will forever remember his kindness, generosity, and selfless nature.
Born in Dorchester, MA on November 22, 1962, Kevin was the son of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Dooley) Gallagher. He spent much of his life in Brockton before residing in Foxboro from 1992 to 2000 and ultimately making Attleboro his home, where he had lived since 2000.
Kevin was a graduate of Massasoit Community College, where he studied Business Administration, and continued his education at the University of Massachusetts where he earned Bachelor’s Degree. He built a successful career in the financial and technology fields. He was a project manager for Evergreen Investments from 1997 to 2010, followed by project manager consulting from 2010 to 2012, where he worked with organizations including State Street, Ameriprise, and Citizens. In 2012, he joined TJX, where he worked as a Senior Scrum Master.
Outside of work, Kevin's greatest joy came from his family, friends, and the many activities he loved. A lifelong sports fan, he passionately followed all the New England teams. He was especially active in youth athletics, coaching Attleboro youth baseball and basketball. He enjoyed fishing, seasonal camping in Maine, and, most of all, spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Kevin also had a special love for dogs, particularly the "flat-faced" breeds. Over the years, he adored his two Boxers, "Oakley" and "Bear", as well as" Ruby", a Boston Terrier, and "Stella", his beloved Frenchton.
Those who knew Kevin will remember him as an exceptionally selfless person and a true people pleaser. Since his sudden illness and passing, countless people have commented on how Kevin would do anything for anyone, especially his family and close friends. His generosity, warm personality, and willingness to help others touched the lives of so many. He will be deeply missed by everyone fortunate enough to have known and loved him.
Kevin was the beloved husband of Kristen A. (Carlson) Gallagher of Attleboro. He was a devoted father to his sons, Casey Gallagher and his wife Sarah, of Pawtucket, RI and Carlin Gallagher, of Attleboro, MA; a cherished grandfather to Aiden, Ronan, Declan and Easton Gallagher. He is also survived by his brothers, Brian and Michael Gallagher, both of Brockton, MA, as well as his mother-in-law, Janice Carlson, of Attleboro, MA; brother-in-laws, Eric Carlson and Ray Karnasiewicz, both of Providence, RI, and Carl Carlson and his wife Judy, of East Providence, RI; his Godfather and uncle, Thomas Dooley and his wife Diane Basler of Kingston, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents as well as his brother Shawn Gallagher; and father-in-law C. Herbert Carlson.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Duffy-Poule Funeral & Cremation Services, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro, MA. A funeral service to celebrate Kevin’s life will immediately follow visitation at 7:00 p.m.

The family also invites those who wish to honor Kevin to consider wearing something New England sports-related in his memory. This would be a fitting tribute to someone who loved his New England sports teams.
Kevin's memory will live on through his family, his friends, the many young athletes he coached, and all those whose lives he made a little better simply by being there.
