Mr. Jerome James Sims Jr.

ATTLEBORO- Jerome James Sims Jr., 69, of Attleboro, passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully at his home on Thursday, August 16, 2018. He was the beloved husband for 49 years to Rosemarie (Crowley) Sims.

Born on December 21, 1948 in Boston, Jerome was the devoted son to the late Jerome J. Sims Sr. and Angela M. (Corsile) Sims.

Jerome grew up in Boston and graduated from Boston English High School as a member of the Class of 1967.

Having a passion for music, Jerome played the bass guitar in high school. He also loved to listen to music, especially his favorite singers and bands such as The Beatles, John Lennon, Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin and Dean Martin. Jerome also loved acting. It was his passion and a very big component of his life.

In addition to his wife, Jerome is survived by his cherished daughter, Lauren Marie Richard and her husband Joe of Attleboro; his granddaughters, Madison Rose Richard and McKenna Grace Marie Richard, both of Attleboro; his sister, Carol Banks and her husband Charles of Georgetown, Texas; his niece, Aly Banks of Philadelphia, PA; and also many loving cousins and many friends.

Jerome is predeceased by his dear son, Eric Scott Sims.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 26, 2018 in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro. A funeral home service will immediately follow the visitation at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
