Janet A. McHugh

Janet Alice McHugh, born on June 2, 1936, in Attleboro, Massachusetts, passed away on March 26, 2026.

Janet was a proud graduate of Providence College and a longtime resident of North Attleboro. She was a published poet who found immense joy in expressing herself through verse, and her love for life and adventure was evident in her passion for traveling the world. She was also a communicant of St. Mary's Church in North Attleboro.

Janet is survived by her three daughters, Gwen Hall, Beth Knights, and Sara Simpson, and her son, Scott McSwiggan. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Evelyn (Melanson) Roach.

Janet's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and the many grandchildren she adored.
