Earnest Monteiro

It is with heavy hearts that we remember the life of Earnest Monteiro, a man known for his contagious humor, unwavering support, boundless creativity, and abundant love. Born on September 18, 1941, in Brockton, MA, Earnest spent his life enriching the lives of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He had an uncanny ability to brighten any room with his laughter, wit, and captivating storytelling. Earnest's love for life was only surpassed by his love for his family, especially his treasured grandson, Andrew.

Earnest, a devoted member of the North Attleboro Elk's, was an ardent salesperson in the industrial cleaning supplies sector. His professional life was marked by the same qualities that defined him personally - a remarkable blend of humor, support, creativity, and love. His personal interests were as diverse as his personality. He loved gardening and playing cards, was a die-hard Patriots fan, and had a particular fondness for his coffee and sugar. The survivors of Earnest's legacy include his beloved daughter Teresa and her husband Michael, his cherishing grandson Andrew, and his loving sister Donna. He is preceded in death by his wife, Doris, their son Earnest Jr., his father Manuel Jr, his mother Wilomenia "Minnie", and his brother Arthur "Tick" Roderick.

He filled his life and the lives of those around him with unforgettable moments of joy, laughter, and love. A visitation will be held at Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro, MA, on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, from 4 - 7 pm.

The funeral service will follow on Thursday, May 16, at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow at St Mary's Cemetery, Mechanic Street, Foxborough, Massachusetts,
