Dorothy Tansey

Dorothy Concetta Tansey of Attleboro, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at 98 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Walter M. Tansey. Daughter of the late Mary (Bosh) and Dominic DiFillippo. Loving mother of Gail Bernardo and her husband Joseph of Attleboro and the late Donna Castro and her late husband Joseph. Cherished grandmother of Danielle Koelsch and her husband Kenneth of Blythwood, SC; Kristy Westbrook and her husband Michael of San Francisco, CA; Lori Lirette and her husband Jeremey of Ft. Meade, MD; Amy Bernardo of Attleboro and Teri Bernardo of Webster. Adored great-grandmother to many great-grandchildren.

Dorothy lived in Attleboro all her life with her family. She was a member of Saint Vincent de Paul Parish. Dorothy was a woman of faith who loved God and her family more than anything. She loved to watch her grandchildren and great-grandchildren thrive and be happy!

Dorothy’s family would like to thank her nieces Julia Tansey and husband Arthur “Skip” Tansey and Mary Jackson and nephew Frank Tansey for all their love and support as well at the staff at Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 from 8:30-9:30 AM at Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Parish, 71 linden St., Attleboro. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Attleboro.
