Attleboro, Massachusetts
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of David Floyd Dukett, who left us on January 23, 2025. Born in Lynn, Massachusetts on November 23, 1947, David lived a life that was thoughtful, humble, and loving. A smart gentleman who served his country with distinction in the US Navy for 25 years, he later worked at Texas Instruments and Intest Thermal Solutions. David was a dutiful soldier, a loyal employee, and a devoted family man. His hobbies reflected the simplicity and sincerity of his character, from watching the news and weather channel to scratching lottery tickets and taking meticulous care of his car. He always looked forward to weekly visits to his wife's graveside and his time at Dairy Carosel. His greatest joys, however, were his children, grandchildren, family, and friends.
David is survived by his daughters, Carrie Dukett, Robin (Duane) Baillargeon, and Kelly (Nelson) Dukett; his son, Harvey (Michelle) Keene; his grandchildren David Keene, Eric Keene, Danny (Alycia) Keene, Elizabeth Keene, Jon Hallas, Courtney Keene, Katelynn Colpitts, Skye Miller, Cass Colpitts, Melisa Keene; and his great-grandchildren Brodyn, Caleb, Brysen, Milo, Aubrey, Vivian, Penelope, Ashlynn, Brayden, and Mason Keene.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mildred Dukett; his parents, Herbert and Ernestine Dukett; his brother, Grant Dukett; his sister, Elizabeth Dukett; his son, Scott (Dawn) Keene; and his great-granddaughter, Aviana.
We invite all who knew and loved David to join us in remembering and celebrating his life. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 8:30 -10:30am at Duffy-Poule Funeral and Cremation Services, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro, Massachusetts. A burial with military honors will follow at 10:45 am at North Purchase Cemetery, Attleboro, Massachusetts.
Services are under the care of Duffy-Poule Funeral and Cremation Services. As the French author Victor Hugo said, "To love or have loved, that is enough. Ask nothing more." David loved and was loved, and his memory will remain in our hearts forever.
We encourage all to share their favorite memories of David and to upload photos to the memorial page. His life was one of service, love, and humility, and he will be remembered fondly by all those whose lives he touched.
