Norwood, Massachusetts
Christopher J. Mullane passed peacefully on July 16, 2024 at home due to complications from long term health conditions.
Chris was born in Norwood, Massachusetts on December 15, 1964 to parents Mary “Dolly” (Skeans) St. Germain and Daniel E. Mullane.
Raised in Attleboro, he attended Attleboro High School, graduating in 1983. He was a dedicated student and excelled at sports, especially in track. He enjoyed football, volleyball, and SCUBA diving. He had a heart for those in need and volunteered at many outreach organizations. He saw the world through a unique lens and shared that view with those he loved.
Chris joined and served in the U.S. Army Reserve after high school. He attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where he graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business in 1988. He was an active member of Theta Chi Fraternity and sat as the Philanthropy Chair.
Known for his quick wit, Chris was always ready to laugh. He connected with others with his interests and intellect. He was an avid collector and especially enjoyed numismatics.
His love of history was apparent to all who knew him. At an early age he learned perseverance and the value of hard work with his uncle Mike Mullane “laying bricks”. Mike’s influence on his life was always steadfast and true. Memories for the Mullane family encompassed fun times at Lake Archer in Wrentham.
His greatest treasures, who he has sadly left behind, are his beautiful, loving daughters Katherine Fairbanks Mullane and Charlotte Rose Mullane of Sterling, MA. They were the light of his life. Their mother, Heather (Thompson) Fetterly, and the extended Thompson family always remained loyal and special to him and his family. He was blessed with the most loving sister, Michelle LaCasse, who stood by him through every season along with her husband Barry.
Chris was fortunate to have kind and caring brothers, Jason Mullane and Robert Geddes, both of Attleboro, who gave him the assurance of his purpose and place in their family. His extended family including his cousins and nieces and nephews have been important people in his life story.
We are grateful that Chris had a strong faith in Christ and is at rest with his heavenly father.
Matthew 6:21 ~ “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”
