Brenda J Brodeur, 68

ATTLEBORO - Brenda Joyce Brodeur, peacefully passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2016 in the comfort of her home surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Columbia, KY, the daughter of the late Cecil and Thelma Keltner. Brenda grew up on a working dairy farm with her brother, Kenneth Keltner, and sister, Patricia Keltner Raymond, both of Bowling Green, KY.

In 1968 Brenda married the love of her life, Ernest Martin Brodeur formerly of West Warwick, RI. They shared 48 years together and enjoyed spending time with family. Her motto was “It all begins with family” which was the theme of our yearly summer cookouts. Brenda loved to bake, scrapbook, do word puzzles and bargain shop.

Brenda’s professional life was spent caring for others. She became certified as a Licensed Practical Nurse and spent 30 years in nursing. The majority of her career was spent at Sturdy Memorial Hospital where she worked as an LPN on the Cardiac Care Unit and later on as a Patient Care Liaison for the emergency room. Brenda also worked as an in-home care provider for the Visiting Nurse Association. There are many lives that she touched along her journey.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Ernest Brodeur of Attleboro, and two daughters - Nicole Renee Brodeur of Attleboro, MA and Shelly Brodeur Masson of Williston, VT. She is also survived by two grandsons, Rylee and Logan Masson of Williston, VT, as well as her brother and sister and respective in-laws. We know that she is at peace reunited with her late daughter, LeaAnne, and her parents.
