It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anne Frances Giglio on February 20, 2026. Born in Quincy, MA on September 12, 1961. Anne lived an inspiring life of compassion, love, thoughtfulness, and generosity. A natural born nurturer, Anne dedicated her life to teaching and was a beloved 2nd grade teacher at Norton Public School until her retirement in 2023. More than an educator, she was a guiding light, receiving the Peer Impact Award for her significant contributions to her school. Her love for knowledge was only surpassed by her love for her family, which she held dear above all else.

Anne is survived by her devoted husband of 38 years, Mark, and their cherished children, Bridget and her husband Matthew Astrofsky of Conway, NH, Andrea and her husband Weston Forbes of Norton, MA, and Tony Giglio and his partner Hailey DePault of Norton, MA. She was the beloved GiGi to her grandchildren Hazel Astrofsky and Summer Forbes. Devoted sister to Susan Barron of Quincy, MA, Leo Barron of Wareham, MA, Elaine Barden of Plymouth, MA, Nancy McDonough of Abington, MA, Jane Norton of Avon, CT and Amy Healy of Quincy, MA. She is also survived by many wonderful nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Patricia Barron, her niece, Samantha Theodore and nephew, Connor Norton. Fondly known as Mother-Anne or Mama G, her unconditional love, sage advice, and nurturing spirit made her not just a mother to her own children, but to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Anne's zest for life extended beyond her professional and familial commitments. She was a fervent gardener, an excellent cook, and an avid traveler. Anne's generous spirit left an indelible impact on the community. She volunteered at the local cat shelter and was a devoted board member of the "Have a Sammi Kinda Day" fund in honor of her niece Samantha Theodore. She was a beacon of faith in her role as a CCD teacher, inspiring many with her steadfast dedication.

Services will be under the care of Duffy-Poule Funeral and Cremation Services, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro, MA. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 4:00-7:00pm.
