Mr. Alexanda "Alex" Cahoon Obituary (1929

ATTLEBORO – Alexanda “Alex” W. Cahoon, 87, of Attleboro passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 in the Life Care Center of Attleboro. He was the husband of the late Beverly E. “Bev” (Farris) Cahoon. Born on March 12, 1929 in Yarmouth, MA, he was a son of the late Walace Sr. and Estelle (Jaminston) Cahoon. Alexanda was a 1948 graduate of Falmouth High School. He was employed at the former Fortifiber Company in Attleboro, MA as a receiving clerk until his retirement in 1991. Alexanda was an avid sportsman and enjoyed camping and road trips. He was member of the Independent Sportsman Club in Foxboro, the Canal Sportsman Club in Bourne, the East Side Bass Fishing Club in Attleboro and the former Bait Hook & Bullet Club in Falmouth. He has been a resident of Attleboro for the past 62 years. He is survived by his three children, Brian A Cahoon of Norton, Bruce W. Cahoon of North Attleboro and Joanne Buckley of Seekonk; his sister, Rita Barney of Falmouth, MA; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the later Francis and Walace Jr. Cahoon. Alexanda also had a beloved late dog, “Buffy”. Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2016 from 2 – 3 p.m. in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro, immediately followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.
