Mrs. Karen Rapoza Obituary (1953

NORTH ATTLEBORO - Karen Drainville Rapoza, 63 of North Attleboro, slipped away on Sunday, March 20, 2016 in the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence, RI. She was born in Providence, RI on February 25, 1953 to the late Roland G. Drainville and wife Claire Bessette Drainville. Karen was a longtime resident of Seekonk where she graduated from Seekonk Senior High, Class of 1971. She spent many years working for the town before moving to North Attleboro, where she raised her two grandchildren, Lucas Jope and Samantha Spearin, after the death of her son. Nathan. She was the mother of Ronald and Nathan Spearin, both predeceased her in death. Her most enjoyable moments were spent tending her gardens and time with her grandchildren. She was a strong woman who survived many obstacles. She leaves behind her husband and best friend Louis R. Rapoza, Jr. and two brothers, Donald R. Drainville of Preston, CT and Stephan A. Drainville or Rockville RI. She was also proceeded in death by her eldest brother Paul M. Drainville. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on Friday, March 25, 2016 from 4 – 6 pm in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck St. Attleboro, immediately followed by a Memorial Service at 6 pm in the funeral home. The burial will be held privately at a later date.
